The Director of Inpatient Care(ICU & Med/Surg/Ped) is responsible to provide leadership to all nursing staff assigned to the unit.
This position oversees staffing, budgeting, patient, employee and physician satisfaction, monitors volume and provides education/coaching to staff in regard to hospital policies, procedures and training of new processes and equipment.
This is a Department of Nursing Service position that provides delivery of patient care with the knowledge of a Registered Nurse.
Must demonstrate the clinical ability to work as Primary RN on the Unit to which assigned.  Must be able to coordinates the delivery of patient care on the Unit; completes required documentation; participates in patient/family teaching and discharge planning, effectively utilizing the Nursing Process.  Provides leadership by working cooperatively and effectively with physicians, ancillary staff and other administrative and support personnel in maintaining the standards of professional
nursing practice in the multidisciplinary clinical setting.  Provides the basic leadership required of a Registered Nurse for subordinate staff on the Unit.  Maintains quality delivery of patient care by completing patient assignments in compliance with the Nursing Process, the Kansas Nurse Practice Act, TJC and State regulations and established Hospital Policies and Procedures.
Strives daily to give all customers very good care and promotes the medical centers Standards of Behavior and other duties as assigned.

The pesron must have BSN and a Master's is preferred.
Person must have previous ICU & Med/Surg/Peds Leadership experience.
Either have a KS Registered Nurse License or able to obtain.
Certifications: BLS at time of hire and PALS within 1 year of hire.

Facility is under 100 beds and the position reports to the CNO.
Compensation is based on experience but the range is 76K to 116K yearly and the facility offers full benefits and a relocation package as well.
