TITLE: Director of Neurosciences & Orthopedics Service Line

LOCATION: near Cambridge, Ohio

Are you considering a career change? Looking for a smaller community (25K population), that offers a low cost of living(18% lower than US average) and plenty of activities in the area but is within an hour of a large city. If so, an opportunity to work with an integrated health care system based in east central Ohio is looking for someone to join their team. The system is a not-for-profit and has over 300 physicians and multiple outpatient care centers throughout the area.The system is the largest provider in a six county region and a primary referral center.It offers a higher level of service than what is typically found in a community of its size including open-heart surgery, trauma care, a Level II neonatal intermediate care unit, neurosurgery and comprehensive cancer services.They are proud of their rich history of serving the community and vow to continue the tradition of healing and caring with compassion, trust, innovation and excellence.

Summary: Coordinates Rehabilitation services and promotes strategic planning for service line growth and development.Plans, directs, coordinates and evaluates daily operations, overall clinical practice, and administrative activities including operational and capital budget management, service line processes, human resource policies and procedures, and IT systems for all areas of responsibility. Financially accountable for aspects of the business line utilizing available financial systems and reports and understanding the expense and revenue aspects of the business.

Responsible for: Leadership, vision and overall operations to ensure optimal patient experience and efficient operations; directs, coaches and mentors staff.Works with physicians and staff to ensure patient care is delivered in an efficient and effective manner.Helps identify opportunities for improving patient outcomes and is responsible for oversight of patient navigation through their visit in a timely and coordinated manner. Works closely with he Medical Group partners, Practice Administrators and Medical Directors in business planning, development, recruiting and marketing for the program including integration and optimization of patient care within and beyond the service line. Participates in Service Line and POC meetings, serves on hospital committees and involved in development and implementation of organizational policies and procedures.Identifies internal and external ways to leverage core business strengths while frequently evaluating healthcare trends and opportunities for alignment of services.Partners with Marketing to design and develop service line advertising, literature and community events that are aligned with the overall marketing strategy.Establishes well-defined measures, goals and outcomes aligned with physician and staff performance goals measured through the organizational scorecard for the highest level of team performance and engagement to drive and sustain the change process. Acts as a mentor and coach to enable problem solving and will develop smooth functioning teams with a focus on the triple aim: affordability, quality and satisfaction.Maintains knowledge of regulatory changes and organizational compliance.

Qualifications: Masters Degree Required: Must have at least 7 years of leadership or change management experience, of which at least 3 years must be in hospital based operations management.Additional Info:This is a new position so an opportunity to make a mark.Position reports to the Chief Physicians Network Officer.This position is a highly visible position in the organization.The position offers a salary range between $105,000-$140,000. The facility offers excellent benefits and will help with relocation.
