Working in a 400 bed hospital located near Cambridge, Ohio.

 We are a not-for-profit organization that operates two hospital sites in Ohio, and several affiliated health care organizations. By combining the resources of the two organizations, we have been able to provide several new services for the community, including open-heart surgery, a Level II neonatal intermediate care unit and enhanced cancer services.

Our primary service area is a six-county region of southeastern Ohio.

This is a second shift position.   Every third weekend.  Shift differential as well.

To perform, evaluate and submit results on blood and body fluid specimens received for laboratory analysis. Responsible for maintenance of equipment, troubleshooting equipment, keeping accurate records, and other quality control requirements related to test performance. Able to coordinate workflow and work independently with minimal supervision. Ensures the laboratory services are meeting the needs of patients, physicians and other health care providers.

Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited MLT/MT program. MLT-ASCP or equivalent. MLT/MT laboratory experience preferred. Ability to read, write, and explain or describe moderately complex information to other hospital staff. Ability to pay close attention to detail and accurately read and record instrument test data. Ability to provide customer service in a courteous and professional manner. Ability to sit, stand, pull, bend and walk for an 8 hour shift. Ability to read, write and utilize both manual and computerized systems for documentation. Ability to communicate in both oral and written manner. Ability to perform and record test results, set priorities and follow established procedures.
